What happens to the manuals I upload?
They stay scoped to your workspace, enforced by security rules and by the server-side path builder — not by policy. Never pooled with other customers, never used to train models. Deleting removes them from storage immediately; backups age out within 30 days.
How is this different from the OEM's own software?
Dealer software covers one manufacturer's factory-standard machines and cannot hold your internal procedures. The Engine reads every brand you have a manual for, and your shop's own overhaul guidelines alongside them.
Can it make up a torque value?
Every figure in an answer is checked against the pages actually opened. One that is not on any of them is removed or labelled an external source with an instruction to verify.
What if my engine is not one of the covered models?
Upload the manual and you get the same grounded reading of your own document. What you do not get is the field history and cited specifications, which exist only for covered models — and the Engine tells you which you are getting.
Can my whole crew share one account?
Each person gets their own seat, so the work carries who did it. A shared login makes the field history it produces unattributable, which defeats the point.
